Learning to aim, shoot, and hit your target with pepper spray is not that difficult to learn – but it does take practice.

Like the Sabre Smart, the D.A.D. 2 offers emergency alerts and a GPS locator. In an attack, it sends an emergency signal to a preselected contact list. Your contact list can include campus security or local law enforcement as well as friends and family. The signal is automatically sent when the spray is deployed, but you can also send an immediate call for help with the push of a button.
Another interesting feature is the multi-purpose light. It is a very bright 150 lumens. The light has 4 different modes: steady strobe, panic strobe, high beam, and low beam. Most attacks happen in the dark, and just 60 lumens if enough to temporarily “blind” an attacker in the dark. The light will also help with aiming and hitting the target. And the light will draw the attention of anyone nearby.
The TigerLight has a lot to offer. I don’t think it’s the best pepper spray. I still prefer the Sabre Smart overall for price, brand reputation, features, and appearance – but the D.A.D 2 is another excellent option.
Mace is another trustworthy brand. You probably already know the name.

This little model from Mace is the most affordable – of the high quality brands – that you can practice with. You have to make your own combo set, but you can have both the real pepper spray and the practice spray for around $15. Not bad considering the value of practice.
The practice spray has the same design and function as the real spray, so you can be confident that you will know exactly what to do in an emergency. And the practice sprays are really cheap if you really want to perfect your skills.
